The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of software, multimedia and/or documentation localization projects for WhP's larger or more demanding clients. The Senior Project Manager is able to resolve problems across various localization management functions and processes, controlling budgets, volumes and schedules. He/she is responsible for total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

• analysis and project planning (software, multimedia and documentation projects)
• budgeting
• managing translators, engineering and DTP resources (internal/external)
• establishing guidelines
• identifying and deciding on tool/resource requirements
• troubleshooting and problem solving
• decision making
• task allocation
• organizing project team meetings
• consultancy, feedback to customer
• accommodating client requirements
• "new client" support

• understanding of the localization process and positioning of WhP in the industry

• coaching skills (assistant PMs and trainees)
• technical curiosity, keeping up with new technologies

Qualifications:

• at least 2 years of experience as a localization project manager
• high standards of quality and the ability to meet deadlines
• proven qualification in English (written and spoken) and at least one other language
• extensive knowledge of the industry's leading localization tools and quality systems
• knowledge of major Project Management tools and linguistic issues
• awareness of project management procedures and methodology
• a degree or diploma in Software Engineering/Computer Science and/or Language Science is an advantage
